Growing Mushrooms at Home
Inoculating mushroom logs at a spring workshop
Sharondale offers workshops and presentations about mushroom growing and permaculture to encourage and empower  you to grow food and use fungi in the garden and on the farm.  Workshops happen at the farm in Cismont, Virginia.   Mark is available to visit your site and provide a workshop or demonstration for your group.

“The 'Growing Mushrooms at Home' workshop at Sharondale Farm was so fun and informative! I came away with a whole new appreciation and respect for the under-appreciated mushroom and its valuable role in the ecosystem and in our gardens. Cookbook in hand, I am eagerly awaiting my first harvest of winecap stropharia and oyster mushrooms.
-Corey B., Montessori middle school teacher

"The 'Growing Mushrooms at Home' workshop was inspirational.  I had never thought of growing mushrooms.  You convinced me it was a simple task, and doable in my small space."
- Rowena Morrel, Editor of In The Kitchen
